Start here — before replacing any parts
Separate an incorrect vacuum setting from a chamber leak and a pump-oil problem before replacing the pump.
Confirm the exact DZ-260C production revision and nameplate voltage; lid switch and sealing components can vary.
Manual scope: Verify pump and manual version
Do these checks in order
Follow the steps below and keep a record of what changes after each one. Stop when an actual cause is confirmed.
With the lid and gasket clean, choose a fresh empty test pouch. Record vacuum time and whether the chamber pulls down firmly throughout the cycle.
The V1/V2/V3 manual gives about 30–40 seconds as a common vacuum-time starting range. If a much shorter time is selected, increase it and repeat the identical test.
Switch off and examine the complete chamber gasket for a loose section, cracks, flattened spots, food residue, or an object that blocks full lid closure.
Follow the actual pump instructions to view oil through the sight glass. The DZ-260C manual depicts a level around one-half to three-quarters of the sight window; use the installed pump’s oil specification, not a guessed substitute.
If the problem is gone
Vacuum recovers after increasing time, cleaning the seal or restoring approved oil level: the observed issue has been isolated.
If the problem is still there
Seal is intact, settings are reasonable, and vacuum still cannot build: stop replacing random parts; a service technician needs to check pump output and internal leaks.
Which cause matches your result?
Use these more specific checks only when the earlier steps point to that possibility.
01Vacuum duration is too short
Review the vacuum time in the control settings.
Increase the vacuum time appropriately and retest.
02Vacuum pump oil is low or contaminated
After shutdown, inspect pump oil level and condition as the manual describes.
Top up or replace only with the pump-approved oil; do not assume different listed viscosities are interchangeable.
03Vacuum chamber seal has worn
Inspect the chamber gasket for wear, tears or leakage points.
Replace only with the correct gasket for the machine revision.
How can I tell it is actually fixed?
Repeat using the same test pouch and setting, comparing cycle time and bag evacuation with the initial test.
Before buying a replacement part
Chamber seal and vacuum oil must match the particular pump and DZ-260C version.
