Why Won’t Auto Mode Start on My HTVRONT Auto Heat Press?
Exact model: HTVRONT Auto Heat Press Gen 1 (HPM15)
Safety: Unplug and allow the platen to cool before inspecting; never open a live heating enclosure.

Start with the accessible checks
What this suggests: On the original HPM15, Auto mode requires a completed preheat cycle and the sliding tray fully home.
What to do
- After connecting power, press Power to start; choose a valid temperature/time and wait until the Start/R light changes from flashing red to green.
- Enable Auto on the fitted first-generation control panel, pull the tray out, place a suitable flat test item and push it fully to its stop without forcing it.
- Remove fabric bunching that holds the tray out. Press Auto again only to exit Auto mode.
Still not fixed? Continue to the next check.

If the problem remains after the first checks
What this suggests: The manual says an incompletely inserted tray triggers an audible warning.
What to do
- If the ready light is green and tray seats properly but no movement occurs, inspect external platen tilt and the tray guide without defeating limit or position sensors.
Confirm the repair
A supervised safe test begins an automatic press when the tray seats and rises after the programmed time. Internal lift/position-control repair is not documented to a reliable HPM15 service standard.
