Why Isn’t My HTVRONT Auto Heat Press Heating Up?
Exact model: HTVRONT Auto Heat Press Gen 1 (HPM15)
The first-generation HPM15 can look switched on without having started heating. Choose the situation that matches your machine, then follow only that set of steps.
Safety: Keep hands away from the platen. Unplug the press and let it cool before inspecting the cord or connectors. Never open an energized heating enclosure.
The press has not entered preheat
Likely cause: The HPM15 is still in its first Power state or the target temperature has not been selected correctly.
What to do
- Press Power after plugging in. On the first-generation HPM15, plugging it in makes the Power key flash white. Press the Power key to activate the press.
- Choose a temperature. Press Temp and use + / − to select a target above the current room temperature, within the HPM15's specified range of 100–210°C. You can also choose the original Mode 1 preset: 150°C / 15 seconds.
- Read the Start/R light. It flashes red during warm-up and changes to green when the target is reached. Pressing R alone does not turn the heater on.
It worked if: The actual temperature climbs toward your chosen target and Start/R eventually turns green. The issue was the startup or temperature-setting sequence, not a confirmed failed heating component.
Still not heating? If Start/R is flashing red but temperature remains unchanged, continue to Situation B. If the controls never respond, do not assume a specific internal part is faulty from this symptom alone.
↑ Back to the two situationsPreheat is active, but the actual temperature stays low
Possible causes: An unsuitable or damaged external power connection, or an internal heating, sensing, wiring or control fault. The public HPM15 operator manual does not identify which internal component has failed.
What to check and correct
- Turn off, unplug and let the unit cool completely. Visually inspect the power cord and plug for pinching, scorching or loose connections. Do not use the press if you see damage.
- Check the power supply against the machine's own rating label. Use a properly rated, suitable wall outlet rather than an undersized shared power strip. A damaged outlet needs a qualified electrician.
- Make one supervised, empty preheat test. After confirming the visible connections and settings are safe, switch the press on, set a valid target and compare the actual temperature reading with the target. Do not touch the heating plate to test it.
- If the actual temperature still does not increase, stop. An open heating element, a temperature sensor problem, a failed heater-control output or internal wiring are possible fault locations, not verified diagnoses. This guide cannot safely give a resistance value, internal test points or a replacement sequence without HPM15-specific service information.
It worked if: The actual temperature rises and stabilizes at the set target, Start/R turns green, and no E1/E2 error occurs.
Not resolved by these steps: Do not buy an unverified heater, sensor or control board or open the powered press. If E1/E2 appears, disconnect power and use the separate E1/E2 guide.
